Student Life
Past and present students share their thoughts and experiences on studying in Japan.
TESTIMONIALS
Choosing KCP was largely to do with the ease of application. A lot of other summer courses required a lot of paperwork and recommendations and transcripts that are a big pain to gather. But KCP’s application process was very easy and self-explanatory! Also, the student life photos looked interesting!

The best is definitely the class environment, I always feel comfortable with either of the three teachers that cycle in a week and I look forward to practicing my Japanese every day.

The culture classes were fascinating !
Read moreThe culture class trip to Enoshima Island and Kamakura. This was an overnight trip where we stayed at a ryokan. The difference between learning about something (how you receive a yukata to wear, the tatami, the futon, the public bath, etc) and actually experiencing it is astounding which is what made this trip so unique and something that one cannot do in the United States.
My favorite part of the program was the classes themselves.
Read moreI thought the teachers were all very skilled and caring. The classwork pushed me to work hard while still being fairly hands-off. There were plenty of available resources for me when I needed help. And the class time itself was surprisingly fun, with a fast-paced and energetic atmosphere. It felt like pretty much all of the students really wanted to be there and were invested in their own improvement.
