I especially liked being able to spend time with my fellow English speakers while still being very immersed in Japanese culture.

I got to see and live first hand with a Japanese family and also got to practice what I learned in class that day.

Don’t be afraid to explore and always do the homework!

The opportunity to talk with other students from all around the world is always the best part of studying at KCP for me. Of course it’s an opportunity to practice Japanese, but it’s also fascinating to hear what they have to say about all kinds of things.

I have found all of the culture classes interesting as Japanese culture is so different from English culture so learning about these differences has not only been fascinating but also useful for daily life in Japan.

Pair work helped me because whatever I didn’t understand I could ask my partner.

The full Japanese immersion taught me more than I could have thought possible. Though sometimes a little guidance was needed, it was easy to pick things up and continue living in Japan without any trouble.

The most productive aspect of the program is simply the intensive study method accompanied by the great teachers who are willing to go out of their way to help their students.

I was always learning something, always expanding my understanding of the language.

Even if you have never studied Japanese before do not be afraid. Tokyo is very foreigner friendly and there are lots of other students here willing to help you out if you need it.
