The classes taught me a lot day in an day out and the conversation session I had with my sensei were great!

I think you should only consider the KCP program if you are serious about learning Japanese, and not if it’s just a passing fascination. With any language in general, it takes a lot of dedication to be able to learn one, so it shouldn’t be taken lightly.

I appreciate that my teachers were willing to help me outside of class. I was concerned with my low speaking and listening skills and they did their best to help me.

I find that pair work, group sessions and drill practice works best for me in memorization. I learn best while speaking and listening rather than reading and writing.

What I like most about this program is the fact that there are multiple teachers for each class. This enables the students to benefit from each teacher’s style of teaching rather than only being exposed to one.

The overnight trip really helped me see a more quiet part of Japan. It showed me there was more to Japan than just the rush of the city, but it also gave me a new appreciation of the convenience of the city.

The most productive and interesting aspect was the chance to practice my Japanese with fellow classmates from different backgrounds and getting to know some of my good friends that I would have never otherwise met.

Kamakura was awesome.

I felt that the focus on conversation in class was quite valuable. Good teachers and helpful staff, too.

The cultural excursions in general (were satisfying) because they gave you the opportunity to experience various aspects of Japan that you didn’t see by being in Tokyo.
